Students in 5th Grade Music Class study the Baroque Era.  As part of the study, they learn about the composer, Johann Sebastian Bach as well as George Frederic Handel.  They research artists, sculptors, architecture, antiques, etc. from the Baroque Era.  They develop their own viewpoints and feelings toward the styles that existed in the Baroque Era.
Using Mrs. Voigt's web site and laptops, they discover a variety of photos they can use to create a collage--each collage made becomes a reflection of the newly developing
tastes of our 5th grade students.  They show their appreciation for art and architecture by choosing paintings that please them when creating their collage.
Many students became so engrossed in this project, they extended this lesson into their recess-time!
